These platters are full of history and are made from recycled Yellow Stringybark timber from the old Port Welshpool Long Jetty that was constructed in Corner Inlet in Sth Gippsland during the 1930's, these platters are stooped in history, have tones of character and will make a great talking piece at your next dinner function.
Each piece is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of describing the history of the jetty.
Our beautiful range of boards from Touchwood Timber are handmade at a small timber products business operating in South Gippsland, specializing in the manufacture and supply of environmentally friendly, handcrafted, bespoke furniture.
Many of these products are made from locally sourced, recycled/reclaimed timbers that are cut on our portable saw/slabbing mill and include the use of storm felled trees, old road/rail bridges, wharf/jetty timbers and serve to preserve some of the early history of settlement in South Gippsland.
